About the Journal

The Andisheh Journal of Herat University has, since 1380, continuously and seasonally published scholarly research articles written by the faculty members of Herat University and its affiliated institutions up to issue one hundred and eleven, in accordance with the academic journal regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education. Through official letter number ۲۰۱/۲۷۴ dated 10/6/1392 from the Curriculum Department of the General Directorate of Academic Affairs, sent in response to proposal number ۱۸۹ dated 7/3/1392 from the Office of the Chancellor of Herat University, the honorable Directorate approved the scientific journal of Herat University under the title Andisheh, dividing it into two sections: natural sciences and social sciences, according to decree number ۲۸۰۳/۲۲۱۳ dated 6/5/1392. In 1399, it received its registration number (RCTD-GNJR-0034-23), and in 1403 obtained its print ISSN (ISSN: 2788-8177) from the Ministry of Higher Education. Since 1402, the Andisheh scientific research journal has been dedicated exclusively to social sciences.

The purpose of this journal is to publish the articles of academic staff from universities across the country, to transfer and exchange new scientific experiences and achievements at national and international levels, to create a stronger platform for presenting emerging ideas in the social sciences, and to promote and expand knowledge within and beyond the country. The journal’s scope covers the faculties of social sciences, public administration and policy, journalism and mass communications, education, law and political science, Islamic studies, economics, fine arts, literature, and the humanities. The editor in chief of this scientific research journal is Professor Dr. Ali Asghar Modaber, and its managing editor is Associate Professor Ghulam Hazrat Hassas.

The Andisheh scientific research journal is currently active in the field of social sciences, and its latest issue, number 130, was published in the spring of 1404.
